You are about to explore the stunning landscapes of Armenia! You will visit the legendary Lake Sevan, appreciate the blooming beauty of the mountain resort of Dilijan, and see historic monasteries: Sevanavank and Haghartsin.
We'll start our journey with a visit to the most impressive lake in the country - Sevan, majestically nestled among the mountains. This is the second largest mountain lake in Eurasia. You'll learn about the legends associated with it, climb to the top of the Akhtamar peninsula and look at the lake from above.
We will also visit the ancient Sevanavank monastery, built in the 9th century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest monasteries in the country. You'll learn about its periods of decline and prosperity, examine the dark walls and golden iconostasis. Before entering its arches, a captivating climb awaits you up the long staircase located on the peninsula. From here, a striking view opens up - Lake Sevan seems to lie in your hand.
Also we will visit the Haghartsin Monastery, nestled in the greenery of the forests and the shadow of majestic mountains. You'll notice it from afar, as the whiteness and grandeur of its tall walls are impossible to miss. It's a unique work of Armenian architecture - its name aptly translates to "Eagle's Play", after the powerful and majestic birds.
The next stop on our route is the city of Dilijan, often referred to as the "Armenian Switzerland". In Armenia, they say: "If paradise had forests, mountains, and mineral springs, then paradise would look like Dilijan". Walking through its cozy streets, you'll be able to judge the accuracy of this statement for yourself.
We'll continue our group tour, heading to Lake Parz. This body of water, surrounded by dense green forests, is simply stunning. The purity of its waters will leave an indelible mark in your hearts and provide a perfect backdrop for a photo session. After the walk, we will visit a deer farm, where you will not only interact with the animals but also have a chance to feed them.
